Buttermilk Bundt Cake
Makes 1 cake (Bundt pan)

Ingredients
2 1/2 c flour
1 1/2c sugar
1 1/2t baking soda
1t baking powder
scant 1/4t salt
1T cinnamon
1T cloves
1/2c melted unsalted butter
1 1/2c buttermilk.
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cloves (until it looks spicy). This benefits from 2 minutes of whisking the ingredients together.
- Add quickly 1/2c melted unsalted butter and 1 1/2c buttermilk.
- Butter and sugar Bundt pan (butter up until top because it rises a lot).
- Cook for 50 minutes – 1 hour until tester is clean. Turn after 30 minutes. Check after 50 minutes. Cool for an hour before turning out of pan.
Apple variation: To add 2 small apples (firm tart apples). Pour half batter. Peel apples and make into thin slices. Place outside of apple up as you place slices. Pour in remaining batter.
