No Fail Chocolate Cake

2 8-inch round cakes
This is among the most delicious chocolate cakes I have eaten

Chocolate Cake
2 c sugar
1 3/4 c flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1 1/2 t baking soda
1 1/2 t salt
2 eggs
1 c buttermilk
1/2 c vegetable oil
1 1/2 T vanilla
1 c espresso or strong coffee(hot)

Frosting
1 stick melted sweet butter
2/3 cup Hershey’s cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla
3 c powdered sugar
1/3 c whole milk,

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and lightly flour 2 8-inch cake pans.
2. Sift together sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
3. Beat in eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, vanilla and coffee.
4. Split batter between 2 pans. Cook in 350 preheated oven for 30-35 minute(until tester comes out clean)
5. To make frosting, add cocoa powder and vanilla to melted butter. Beat in powdered sugar and milk (alternating) until mixture is smooth.
6. Frost cake when cooled.
